New Behavioral Health Provider: Dr. John Israel

Dr. John Israel is a licensed clinical psychologist assisting K’im:aw Medical Center until May 2023. He attended Andrews University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences. He completed his Master’s Degree in Counseling at Western Michigan University and his Doctorate in Psychology at Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University. He has been working with children, adolescents, and families since 1984. In his career, he has worked as a lead psychologist in an inpatient psychiatric hospital and as a hospital administrator of a correctional facility. The past six years he has specialized in performance enhancement for athletes. He enjoys martial arts and is interested in teaching karate classes in the Hoopa community during his stay.
